In the summer of 2014, about 30 other individuals and I were given the opportunity to go on a trip of a lifetime: a trip to Warsaw and Krakow Poland! Of course, most of us were very excited to attend but we knew that it would come with a price. For the next 2 years, we would help serve the church by serving at numerous different masses, charity events, and cleaning to help earn the funds necessary to have everyone attend.

After the two long years of community service, it was finally time for us to board the plane and go on the 24-hour long plane ride to Warsaw, Poland. One thing that I can confidently say about the plane ride is that it was easily the worst thing I have ever experienced. You barely had any room to stretch out or sleep, you barely had any privacy, the people next to me wouldn’t stop talking. The plane had a strong aroma of our dinner, sweat, and other things I don’t want to talk about. It was awful. Once we landed in Warsaw and stepped off the plane and took the deepest breath I has ever taken. My legs were wobbly, I was exhausted, I had a headache but I had never been more excited before that moment.

In this website, I will be telling you all about our adventures in Poland, what we did, what we saw, and a little comedic relief every now and then (at least I hope). After you read through my experiences and stories, I hope that you not only learn more about Poland but also more about myself and how this trip has influenced my life forever.
